Oak Tree Meadows’s 16+ supported accommodation service is for young people aged 16-18 years old for whom the Local Authority has a statutory duty. We work with young people who are:

  • Leaving care
  • Looked after
  • Risk of homelessness

We collaborate closely with local authority partners to provide high-quality supported accommodation managed by a highly competent and well-trained staff team. Our service operates in full alignment with quality standards to ensure young people are empowered as they transition toward adulthood. King Lane


King Lane is a welcoming, modern detached home situated in a quiet and pleasant area of Shobnall, right near the green spaces of Shobnall Park. The property is designed to provide a safe and secure environment for up to three young people, offering a warm and homely atmosphere where residents can relax in a comfortable communal lounge. To support the development of essential life skills, the home features a fully fitted kitchen and laundry facilities, alongside well-maintained shared shower rooms.

Despite its peaceful setting, the home enjoys excellent transport links, with a quick five-minute bus ride providing easy access to the heart of Burton upon Trent. This location offers the ideal balance for young people: a tranquil place to live with the convenience of town amenities, vocational courses, and social opportunities just a short journey away.

Every young person enjoys the privacy of their own spacious bedroom, which we encourage them to personalize with their own belongings to truly make it their own. We respect our residents' independence and privacy by providing individual room keys and ensuring staff follow clear protocols before entering private spaces. Our service is managed by an experienced professional and supported by a dedicated team of qualified workers who are available 24/7 to provide guidance and mentorship. Whether a young person requires specific support hours or more intensive 1:1 assistance, our care is always tailored to their unique Pathway Plan to help them transition confidently into independent adult life.
